IX Premio Martín Recuerda de Teatro
The Unfinished Masterpiece was awarded IX Premio Martín Recuerda de Teatro, organized by Junta de Andalucía, Diputación de Granada and Obra Social CajaGranada.
On December 10th 2007 the jury declares unanimously in favour of The Unfinished Masterpiece. The aforementioned jury was formed by the following members:
- Ángel Cobo Rivas, today Ángel Martín-Recuerda, foster son of José Martín Recuerda
- María Jesús Bajo, for the Asociación de Autores de Teatro
- Rafael Torán, for the Asociación de Directores de Escena de España
- Juan Manuel Azpitarte, for the Delegación de Cultura de la Diputación de Granada
- Antonio Sánchez Trigueros, for the Delegación de Cultura de la Junta de Andalucía
- Mariano Sánchez Pantoja, director of Teatro Alhambra, for Obra Social de CajaGranada
- Julia Ruíz Carazo, for the Asociación Andaluza de Empresas de Compañías de Teatro (ACTA)
- José María Roca, president of the Asociación Andaluza de Empresas de Compañías de Teatro (ACTA)
The award ceremony took place on February 21st 2008 at the Teatro Alhambra in Granada. The authorreceived the award with what renowned critic Andrés Molinari defined as “a humour-ridden speech, pregnant with theatricality”. You can download the speech (in Spanish) here.
